La Junta @ Pueblo Centennial
(Friday 7 PM, Dutch Clark Stadium)
The Bulldogs will make their season debut this Friday night at Dutch Clark Stadium. The task won’t be easy, as La Junta is coming to town 1-0 with a 35-0 win over Sterling. The Tigers of La Junta bring in a balanced attack, as they both threw and ran for over 200 yards. Centennial will look upon Augustin Cecinho and Samuel Lucero to match La Junta.
Aurora Central @ Pueblo County
(Friday 7 PM, County High School)
Aurora Central (1-0) makes the trip down south to take on the highly regarded Hornets. Last week, the Trojans of AC took down Adams City by a score 47-0. County will look upon a heap of returners and a week of film to make sure they come out with a week 1 home victory.
Pueblo South @ Evergreen
(Friday 7 PM, Evergreen High School)
The Colts will look to move to 2-0 in the early season, as they take on the Cougars of Evergreen in a sneaky good matchup. South is coming off of a 28-6 victory at Widefield, behind 3 passing touchdowns from MJ Molina (2 to Isreal Allen, 1 to Landen Cordova). Evergreen took down Glenwood Springs 44-2 in their week zero matchup.
Pueblo East @ Resurrection Christian
(Friday 7 PM, Resurrection Christian)
East will make its way up to Loveland on Friday night, in a battle of teams looking to bounce back from week 0 losses. The Eagles fell to #1 ranked Palmer Ridge 35-14, while Resurrection Christian went on the road and lost to Palisade 34-8. This is the beginning of a 3-week road game stretch for the Eagles, so a win here would provide some needed momentum.
