Pueblo Centennial @ Lincoln (Thursday 4pm, All City Stadium)

The final week of the regular season is here!  The Bulldogs (1-8, 1-5) will head up north one final time to take on the Lancers of Lincoln (4-4, 3-2).

Lincoln is on a 3 game winning streak and will be a tough test for Centennial. The Dogs have started to get their youth more involved.  Freshman Mark Chorak and Easton Adamson have started to handle some more carries.  On the defensive side, Freshman Derreon Smith and Sophomore Zebulon Burton have been big contributors.

Liberty @ Pueblo East (Thursday 7pm, Dutch Clark Stadium)

The league champion Eagles (8-1, 7-0) will look to finish up their regular season against the Liberty Lancers (2-7, 2-5).

#6 ranked East has put themselves in position to receive a first-round bye in the postseason with a win on Thursday night.  It is senior night, and this is one of the biggest senior classes in the state.  QB Dolphka Lewis leads the group, and is getting close to breaking some career records at the school.

Central gave East all they could handle last week, so look for the Eagles to come out with a higher sense of urgency and focus.

Falcon @ Pueblo Central (Friday 7pm, Dutch Clark Stadium)

Speaking of Central (3-6, 2-5), they will look to carry that confidence from last week into this week’s matchup against the Falcon Falcons (0-9, 0-7).

While playoff hopes are all but over, this young team can finish their season the right away with a victory.  Junior QB Zion Aguilar looked very comfortable last week, throwing for 96 yards and adding a touchdown on the ground.  While their upset bid fell short, not a single senior touched the football on offense for Central last week.  A win here could be a needed momentum boost heading into next year for a plethora of Cat returners.

Pueblo West @ Coronado (Friday 7pm, Garry Berry Stadium)

The second league champion from Pueblo resides out west, as the Cyclones (7-2, 5-0) took care of Cheyenne Mountain 42-21 last week.  Chase Harrison put on an MVP type of performance.  The Junior QB rushed for 271 yards and 5 touchdowns, while adding 91 yards through the air.

This week, West will travel to Springs to take on Coronado (4-5, 2-3).  While league implications are over, the Cyclones will look to improve on their current #7 state ranking with the postseason looming.

Pueblo County @ Discovery Canyon (Friday 7pm, District 20 Stadium)

County (8-1, 6-1) bounced back as expected last week against Falcon.  The #8 ranked Hornets will look to keep their position of having a first round bye, by defeating Discovery Canyon (2-7, 2-5) on the road.

In last week’s victory, Senior RB Orlando Rodriguez led the way with 134 rushing yards and 3 scores.  QB Brody Harrison was held out last week.  If he is held out again, securing a bye will go a long way for the Hornets to give him an extra week of recovery.

Bye: Pueblo South
