Canon City vs Pueblo South

(Thursday 7 PM, Dutch Clark Stadium)

Both teams enter this one coming off big league losses.  South fell to County 48-7, while Canon City fell to East 30-0 this past Friday.  Luckily for South, they get to stay home this Thursday and look to protect Dutch Clark on a short week.  Look for the Colts to rely on their steady air attack to get back in the win column against the 2-2 Tigers.

Discovery Canyon vs Pueblo East

(Friday 7 PM, Dutch Clark Stadium)

The 3-1 Eagles finally get a home game again, after earning 3 straight road victories.  They will look to carry that momentum against 0-4 Discovery Canyon.  While the record isn’t impressive, Disco is coming off of back to back 1 point losses against league foes Pueblo Central and Lewis-Palmer.

Senior laden East will rely on 1-2 backfield punch Dolphka Lewis and Logan Trujillo to extend their winning streak to four games.  Take care of this one and next week against the 0-4 Falcon Falcons, and the Eagles will come into the Cannon Game (October 2) with a lot of confidence.

Pueblo Central vs Pueblo County

(Friday 7 PM, County High School)

This is the only city matchup this week, and it has the potential to be a good one!

Central is coming off a record-breaking 8th straight Bell Game victory, while the Hornets are coming off of a statement 48-7 victory over South.

The Cats know this is a step up in competition, and will have to stay ahead of the chains while hitting some timely shots in the pass game.  

The Hornets need to stick to the script, as their run game and defense has been rolling all year.  Throw in an efficient passing attack led by Senior Quarterback Brody Harrison, and this team has a lot of good things going right now.

Widefield vs Pueblo West

(Friday 7 PM, Pueblo West High School)

The Cyclones faced a scare last weekend at home against Vista Ridge, but found a way to win like they often do.  With the pass game struggling to get going, Chase Harrison made it happen with his legs, rushing for 198 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The 1-2 Gladiators of Widefield make the trip down I-25 to face Pueblo West next, as they come off a bye.  Even with an extra week of preparation, they are faced with a tall task against the Cyclones on the road.

Littleton vs Pueblo Centennial

(Saturday 1 PM, Dutch Clark Stadium)

It was a rough rivalry week for the Bulldogs, but they have no time to feel sorry for themselves. 

0-3 Littleton comes into town, and something has to give. Look for Centennial to be hungry for their first win, with a prime opportunity at home to get it done.

Freshman Easton Adamson is starting to get some looks on offense, and hopefully he can help provide a spark to lead the Bulldogs to a victory.
